The U12s for the 2026/2027 are a big, friendly and welcoming squad, taking the step up from mini to junior rugby. We're proud to welcome players of all abilities, and with strong numbers this season the club is entering two teams into the Kent Waterfall Leagues, giving every player the opportunity to play competitive rugby at a level that is right for them.
About the team
Welcome to the Under 12s
The U12s are taking a step up from mini to junior rugby this season. We're a big squad this year, and a genuinely friendly and welcoming one — players of mixed abilities are part of the group, and everyone gets the chance to develop and enjoy their rugby. Our training focus is on building on the skills, teamwork and (most importantly) enjoyment established in mini rugby.
U12 Training
Training for U12s is held on Wednesday Evenings 6.30–8pm and Sundays through September to May, starting promptly at 9.45am and finishing around 11:30am. Info will be provided each week via our WhatsApp group. Please ensure that you provide your details asap if not already done so. Pitch allocations for training and fixtures can change week on week and updates will be provided via our WhatsApp group.
Gumshield and rugby boots are mandatory and players (and parents!) should dress appropriately for conditions. Players should bring a drink to all training sessions and matches.
Match Teas
Match teas will kindly be provided after ALL competitive fixtures (home and away) for the payers. We encourage all payers to wear a shirt and CRFC tie (available from the club shop in our clubhouse).
Coaches
All of our coaches are RFU qualified, with lead coaches holding the England Rugby Coaching Award (ERCA). All coaches have been DBS checked and regularly completed the England RFU Headcase Concussion Awareness and Safeguarding Training, as a minimum. The coaching team has also undertaken specialist neurodiversity training.
Qualified First Aiders will be pitchside for all training and fixtures.
New Players
Some of our Squad have been with the Club since U6s, and the squad continues to grow. Get in touch with Jonathan Roberts on 07795 101258 if you are interested in joining us.
